Private excursion to the Black Forest and Baden-Württemberg from Strasbourg

The Black Forest (Schwarzwald) and the Baden-Württemberg region offer spectacular landscapes, elegant spa towns, and a fascinating cultural heritage, all just an hour or two's drive from Strasbourg. However, exploring this region in a rental car presents specific challenges: winding mountain roads requiring attentive driving, difficult parking in historic centers, and in winter, weather conditions that can make driving tricky without proper equipment. Elar Drive transforms these challenges into opportunities by offering a private tour with an experienced chauffeur, allowing you to fully enjoy every moment of your excursion without any logistical worries.

Must-see highlights of Baden-Württemberg to discover

Baden-Baden: thermal elegance at the foot of the Black Forest

Baden-Baden is a world-renowned spa town, famous for its historic baths such as Friedrichsbad and Caracalla Therme, its legendary casino, and its Trinkhalle where you can sample local curative waters. The town also offers a magnificent Christmas market in winter and a network of hiking trails in the surrounding hills. The Merkur Funicular takes you to the summit of the mountain of the same name, providing exceptional panoramic views over the town and the Black Forest. Our chauffeur drops you off in the heart of town, parks the vehicle in secure parking, and collects you at the agreed time.

Triberg and its waterfalls, Titisee and its glacial lake

Further into the Black Forest, Triberg is home to Germany's highest waterfalls, accessible via an enchanting hiking trail through the forest. The town is also famous for its cuckoo clock workshops, a true artisanal specialty of the region. A little further south, Lake Titisee, formed by a glacier thousands of years ago, offers a peaceful setting for a lakeside stroll, a boat ride, or lunch in a traditional restaurant serving the local specialty: Black Forest gateau (Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte). Our chauffeur knows these destinations inside out and can advise you on the best routes and opening hours.

Flawless cross-border logistics managed end-to-end

Border crossing and tolls included

Traveling to the Black Forest involves crossing the German border and utilizing highways and roads subject to tolls or vignettes. Our service includes full management of these logistical aspects. Your chauffeur is thoroughly familiar with border crossing procedures and the most efficient routes. Fees associated with cross-border transport, highway tolls, and taxes are all included in the hourly rate confirmed upon booking. You have no administrative formalities to manage on the day of travel, greatly simplifying your plans.

Adaptation to weather and seasonal conditions

The Black Forest is a region where weather conditions can change rapidly, especially in autumn and winter. Our chauffeurs are trained to adjust their driving to current conditions: rain, fog, snow, or ice. Our vehicles are equipped to handle these situations (winter tires, snow chains if necessary). If weather conditions make accessing certain high-altitude sites too difficult, your chauffeur can suggest alternative visits in valleys or towns, ensuring your day remains enjoyable and safe whatever the weather.

Pricing and operation of your excursion

Hourly hire for complete flexibility

This type of tour is booked under an "hourly hire" package, starting from 50 € per hour with a 4-hour minimum. This option is ideal for a full-day excursion in the Black Forest, as it includes driving time between stops (e.g. Strasbourg-Baden-Baden-Triberg-Titisee-return), waiting time during your visits, and total flexibility to modify your schedule along the way if you discover an interesting spot or wish to extend a visit. The rate is all-inclusive: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, tolls, border crossing, and parking.

A personalized itinerary tailored to your desires

We do not impose a rigid itinerary. When booking, you share your interests with us (spas, nature, gastronomy, history, shopping) and we design a tailored program. If you prefer spending more time in Baden-Baden enjoying the thermal baths and shortening your visit to Triberg, no problem: your chauffeur adjusts. If you discover a charming village along the way and wish to stop, that is also possible. This flexibility is one of the main advantages of private service over group tours with fixed itineraries and strict schedules.

Tour & Hourly Hire Rates
